Troop 597’s policy requires that all parents/guardians of Scouts in our troop, and all other adult volunteers, maintain an active BSA YPT certification. This requirement is to ensure the safety of our Scouts. The BSA YPT needs to be re-certified every 2 years.

You can access the BSA Youth Protection Training by logging in to https://my.scouting.org, and clicking the Youth Protection logo on the right side of the screen, as shown below.

If you do not already have an account on my.Scouting.org, you can create one with the “Create Account” button on the main login page.

After completing the training, you will receive a training certificate via email. Please forward a copy of your training certificate to bob@mccouch.com.

Council and Troop policy require that all adults who interact with youth, as part of transportation, Boards of Review, fundraisers, or any other activity have an active BSA YPT certification.

Please help us ensure that all of our parents are able to participate in troop events by maintaining your YPT certification. The training takes approximately 90 minutes, and then you are re-certified for the next 2 years.
